Diseases Affecting the World

The most well known things that go around the world are the diseases. Diseases travel from place to place all over the world in a blink of an eye. Diseases travel through those who travel a lot especially on the airplanes, but they sometimes do not know that they are the ones who bring the diseases to the place they are traveling to or at. It is much easier to bring the diseases from other countries in an airplane because the airplane is the easiest method to travel in for a long distance.

One of the diseases that are most commonly found across the globe is HIV/AIDS. HIV and AIDS work together. AIDS is a disease that has no cure and that destroys a personŐs immune system. AIDS is caused by an infection through HIV. HIV is transmitted through bodily fluids, sexual contact with infected blood.

Poor countries are the ones with higher rates of infection. Brazil is one of many poor countries facing an AIDS crisis. The people do not have money to buy the necessary drugs. Brazil has produced copies of about eight to twelve type of medicine and given them to people with AIDS at half the original cost. This of Brazil producing its own medicines is a much better thing to help the people with AIDS to get the medicines and be able to get cure. There countries that made the original drug to cure AIDS are not happy because they say that Brazil copied their drug brand name and Brazil is getting all the credit for it. The other countries say that they should be getting a part from the money that Brazil is making with the drug.

Apart from that, what could also happen is for wealthy and rich countries to give the poor and needed ones some of their drug to help them. If the rich and wealthy countries give the poor the drug it is going to be something good because they are helping them get cure and they are going to make a big change in the amount of people dying.

Since Brazil has been producing its drug the people with AIDS have been decreasing and established. The amount of people that had been dying before Brazil did not have produce its drug now have been reduce to half of the amount. If Brazil had not produce the drug as the other countries have the amount of people with AIDS would be the same or even worst, it would have increased.
